I am writing a book.

Yes, I started writing a book today. What prompted this might you ask? Well, it's simple. I saw doves and Dave Barnes started playing in the background. Ok, so maybe the story isn't THAT exciting. I went to Barnes & Noble looking for a particular book that I didn't necessarily hear about, but thought of, and wanted to read one just like it. I searched up and down every aisle looking for this book.. and by every aisle, I mean the "Christian Inspiration, Self-help, Recovery/Addiction, Psychology, Sociology aisle.." and what did I find? NOTHING. And so as I left the store that has MILLIONS of books minus the type of book I was looking for, I decided that if I couldn't find it, then I would just have to write it. And then I just felt the Lord lay on my heart the verse "see that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord" (col. 3:16)and this ministry isn't necessarily writing books, but instead, exactly what I'm doing here in Fayetteville.. finding healing and freedom from my past through my relationship with the Lord, and in return, helping set teen moms free from this exact bondage they are in. After building life-lasting in-depth relationships with teen moms, I have felt more inspired than ever to write this book because it not only will minister to them, but it will also minister to the healing of my soul. You might ask what the name of this book will be... well, it's not final, but I'm thinking.... well, on second thought, I'll just share that in the next blog entry!
